I have been playing my enhaement Shaman for a while now. I respted restoration for a while but found it iredibly boring bause if your in a good group with good tank you justast earth shield on him (and keep it on him) and then throwhain heals now and again. So I have dided I’m staying Enhaement no matter what people say about the sp bause there fun to play and there great for farming. I have done lots of instaes and had no problems finding a group as long as youah them in early stages. Generally the 3 dps slots fill up first then everyone needs a tank and healer. So you probablyould get into more groups as a healer if you have a book to read. And like it was mentioned earlier you would be pretty surprised how many people love our totems. In ft they start to fight over whh ones you throw bause everyone wants one. I haveurrently just started raiding with my guild in Kara and they not only love my totems but they also LOVE my heroism although you get that no matter what sp at 70, but it is a very usefulool down. So far we have downed everything but night bane as were working on quest to get him summoned. We tually have 2 Shamans in our guild one resto and myself. So getting into Kara is no problem at all. Shamans are a sondarylass they don’t do mh well but they do everything in small doses. Your main job is going to be auto-attking and monitoring the party. Keeping your totems up (boss fightsan get long and they drop after 2 minutes), throwing those off heals when party’s in trouble, and SAVING your shks for thoserital interrupts or frost shks. A lot of people spam the shks as fast as theyool and it’s not a good idea bause they generate lots of threat and are better used for there abilities at those right times. The only real problem you will run into is threat. We are threat pigs and have to monitor it prettylose. As long as yourself and tank have threat meters this is an easy task but a very important one as pulling agro in endgame is pretty mh guaranteed death. If the tank doesn’t have agro just hold off attking for aouple sonds to let him get someontrol then go in to attk. an we get good dps? Absolutely. Are we going to be top dps? Probably Not. But the party benefits a Shaman brings are pretty impressive. And I have finished quite a few 5mans as top dps in the group, so itan be done, even with all the monitoring of the group going on. I’m just now starting to get some eps and some dent gear. So this was all pre-kara gear. Oe I start getting some Kara gear I’m sure my dps will go even higher and bome even more of a trk. The spiked dps we throwan get pretty savage at times. Onerit and your flurry kks in, unleashed rage kks in, windfury prs and suddenly you just dealt a sk amount of damage in aouple sonds. We don’t have a steady dps but a very spikey one but the spikesan get extremely high. Our burst dps is quite amusing to wah. My adve play the support role don’t be so hyped up in trying to be top dps that you forget about the party, and above all else have fun and don’t let others tell you what sp you should be. The games about having fun, so play it that way.
