Macro question (yes, I know)

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Honestly? Come on now…
You want to just sit and spam one button in combat? How is that fun to you? Is it so hard to actually manually keybind those skills and fire them off seperately? Hell if you’re really lazy, just take whatever your grinding sequence is…and bind them in order…1, 2, 3, 4, 5. You need more than that? After 5, cycle on to Shift+1, Shift+2, Shift+3, Shift+4, Shift+5… It’s not hard.
This game isn’t hard.
I can’t understand how people want to make it any easier. Leveling’s easy, instances are easy, heroics are easy, and raiding and pvp (with good team members) is easy aswell. If it was any easier, and dumbed down any more it wouldn’t be a game, it’d be a god damn movie and you’d just watch your character do everything while sitting in your chair doing jack sht.
Getting thrown epics while whacking off, having WoW minimized in the backround.
Okay, sorry, I know that last line hits home to some of you out there, that’s taking it too far. Since that seriously allready @ing happens.

Edit (because I was a tad harsh): To be helpful, I know most raiding Hunters used one button macros for raiding back in the day, and that was optimal. It’s not anymore though. To my knowledge, you’re better off actually playing the game and doing things manually and not going easymode 1button spam. I think they either nerfed the extent of what cast sequence macros could do, or it just became a bad way to go about things, because of Hunter class changed since WotLK.
Edited, Feb 10th 2009 9:43am by LordDrazharI’ve tried to find sites, I’ve looked at all those suggested, and still can’t find the answers I’m looking for.
Most of the Hunter macro websites I’ve found deal with pre-made raid macros, or “shot rotation” macros, and I’m finding it nearly impossible to extract what I’d like from those macros to make my own.
Is there any way to have a button that will cast misdirect on my pet/focus, then petattack, then Hunter’s Mark, then launch into my auto-attack and maybe a Steady Shot?
Is there a site that literally lists all the WotLK macro commands, and how they can be put together?
I hate to admit it, but I’m not the brightest bulb in box when it comes to this sort of thing.

elite pet?

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Hehe sorry Yuppley but browningguns did make me laugh with that comment , and how do we tell a troll apart from the complete foolishness of the question ? apart from the fact that i tend to find those threads rather amusing.-My mage
my hunter
My hunter is not the best at damage but at least i survive.Yuppley wrote:I don’t want to report this guy, because last time I reported a troll you all freaked out.
Actually Yup, I think that everyone just automatically down-rates any post with your name on it…. o.OI don’t want to report this guy, because last time I reported a troll you all freaked out.
So, I’ll just say:
Read the sticky. There’s not really any difference between an elite pet and a non-elite once tamed, other than the tag marking them as elite. I don’t think they even used to keep the elite tag (unless bugged), that’s a fairly recent thing.
Anyway, it looks like the green Core Hounds are the only tamable elites from SMV–you can tame them like you would any other pet, so long as you have the required talent (Core Hounds are exotic pets and require going pretty deep into BM).-jaysgsl wrote:I have received a translation of his post to the language of the bears.

If you’re to Shadowmoon Valley and don’t know how to tame something or don’t look up Hunter pet information on Petopia…..I just have to say I hope I never find you in a party of mine once (if) you ever make it to 80.-Light travels faster than sound, which is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.i see elite pets from shadowmoon valley in outland – how do u tame one?

the reason us lks are so obsessed with our dmg is hat from lvl 1-maybe around lvl 50 somewhere we have had mages going…”why didnt you roll a mage if u want insane mag damage” now it seems we have the upper hand, dnt get me wrong uannotompare a mage to a lk, they are 2 totaly differnetlasses and anyone will note this as they learnt the game.
I just started up my mage again(I’m an altohol, but I love mage) and he’s mining, and I’m thinking of swihing to tailoring (I already have a 350+ ehanter) Should I wait, or just do it now. My mage is 48 atm(forgot if theres any good stuff at that lvl) He’s frost, but I have been thinking of going fire edit: amory link: eu.wowarmoryomcharter-sheet.xml?r=Earthen+Ring&n=Sanbaasuto

I’ve got HebAh on my mage…and want to swih to tailoring at 70. Would it make more sense to drop Herb or Ah? Just looking for adve. I was thinking Herb, sie it will be easiercheaper to level on another alt…but not quite sure.
I had an ah oe, so lemme tell you this, just drop ah now, it’s more profitable selling the herbs, just go tailor+herb and make a disehant alt.

Thanks for input. Honestly, I love Ah. Until this toon, I never really used pots. Now, I use them all the time on all my toons. The buffs and bonuses are pretty sweet. I also have another main toon who has mh more money, and a DEbank alt. That being said, and with Mr. Sushi’s adve, I’ll probably drop Herb for Tailoring oe I hit 70. Then, I’ll pk up Herb on another alt (who has an ep mount), and farm it up fast. Thanks all.

in the interest of fairness and

I’m a Di sp I have, in the interest of fairness and my overall ne nature, passed on items that are an upgrade to me in terms of spellpower and stats bause they also have an attribute that is of a greater importae to anotherlass. Hit Rating, for example, does little for me. Haste, does more for me, but not as mh as it does to DPSasters and even other Healers. I have beenonsiderate to my fellow teammates. And while that’s been great for my karma, it’s been terrible for my gear. For the unfortunate result of this, is that I pass-up rolling gear with SpellPower + Haste, or Spellpower + Haste +rital Strike or Spellpower + Hit +rital Strike to roll on gear that has just Spellpower +rital Strike…along with everyone and their mother. Bause while somelassesan benefit from Hit Rating, and even morelassesan benefit from Haste, everybody benefits fromrital Strike. After a while I’m starting to feel like my good intentions have left me rounging on the floor for the otheraster’s tableraps. I know what your going to say. “Well, eventually, Zem” you’ll remark, pling a reassuring hand on my shoulder “Everyone else will get their gear, and you’ll be the only person rolling”. “Not so,” I’llounter in a dismal fashion “for most of the gear that has both spellpower andrital strike is only available in the 25 man, and we PuG the remaining members. Whether or not you have gotten something prior determines whether or not youan win the item your rolling on, but this gets reset eh night, so as to give the PuG members who won something ientive to return” TL:DR; I’m a Di Priest.an I roll on Haste and Hit Rating gear? Would you, if you were in my shoes? I rognize it isn’t optimal, but due to the ftrital Strike is the mostompetitiveaster stat, and the 12 PuG nature of the folks I run with, I’m starting to believe I’ll never advae my gear otherwise.
