Ok, Im not sure how many of you are shammies and how many are not but this isoming from an outside shammylass. My main is a 70 priest, and the one I have been playing lately is my hunter (yeah, not many ppl like hunters too mh but guild needed soC and its by far the easiest to lvl IMO so I took the role.) Aside from that, I honestly hated grouping with shammies as a priest and as a hunter until just rently. I will tell you that yes, totems are ne (very ne to somelasses). Ppl generally love these totems when available, but its by no means a reason for asking for a shammy. Problem with shammies are that there are so many enhaement shammies on my server that throw out the WF and wail away before tank really has great aggro on mobs,(You all know where I am going with this.) This usually results in a priestpallywhatever healinglass having to overheal the shammy and the shammy still wing, then taking the aggro from the dead shammy to healer=group we. *Sigh*, been there to many times even with my +1300 healing and 10k mana. Ppl like that left a bad taste in my mouth for the longest time. It was just until rently that I found new respt for end gameontent while on my hunter. We had a resto shammy doing a wonderful job (until then I had never met a shammy thatould properly heal, and I know how to heal uber sie main is holy priest attuned for Kara). Not only was he a bit lower than usual for the instae we ran (he was a 67 healing for us in SV), but he played hislass well, and kept everyone up like should have, totems helping out us dps’ers, the works in general. So, my rant I suppose is that although I have had horrible experiee with enhaement shammies(I know not all of youan be aggro freaks), I still see the possibility of a bright future for you guys. I do hope to group with some good enhaement guys that bring a little more to the table other than dps,ause there is a million dps’ers out there and to be honest I would rather have a trapsapsheep dps’er with me, I still try to not be biased towards all of you. I have rently leveled to 70 and want to know the most effient way to get hitapped and be useful to my guild while waiting for WotLK My gear is a mixture of dent andrap wowarmoryomcharter-…eamonsspawn I will have the last pie of FSW set soon and will then grind up Spellstrike, so assume I have them. I also don’t feel the need to get T56, so I basally want to know what is the most effient was to get hitapped and do dent damage without grinding raids. My options are ehants, skets and gear or aombo of those, should I be doing instaes to upgrade therap greens while I am getting gems and ehants? What instaesraids should I be aiming for? e. (or should I not even bother and go lv my 63 Shad Priest?) If you want to know why I don’t feel the need to go over T4 equivalent, read on. Ian raid with my guild with T4 as they are a high lv raiding guild so a lk of gear is not sh a huge issue for the low raids and I am getting dentore gear with Spellstrike and FSW. When WotLKomes out all gear will bome redundant, it is just a matter of how easy the questsmobs are and for how long. Blizz says that you will be able to quest from 68 onwards, so there is probably no ientive to even get T4 (if my non-geared ‘lk in thrallmar is anything to go by) Link to this 13 replies Aug 3rd 2008 3:12am : Logged Reply to this cbuhholar301 Dent If your not going to raid you shouldn’t have to worry to mh about getting your Spell hitapped. The reason you want hit in raids is bause bosses are 3 levels above you and therefore you have a 17%hae to get a resist. Getting 202 spell hit will rede thathae to 1%(there will always be 1%hae to resist). However outside of raids the highest lvl mob is 72, and they only have a 6%hae to resist. Thus for anything outside raids anything over 63 spell hit is wasted. Oe you have the spellstrike set made thats 38 spell hit and if you guild is far as you say youan probably get the belt of blasting as well whh will bring your spell hit to 61. That should be fine for everything outside raids. After that youan fus on boosting your +damage and a little bit ofrit, badge gear should fill most of your spots. Basally any hero is good to run, if you just do the daily and a kara every oe in a while you’d be suprised how quk badgesan add up. The offhand, wand, ring, trinket, andloak from badges are all really ne. The ring from ryers is ne as well and the vindators silkuffs are really good for only 9000 honor. When itomes to gems just sket for +damage, maybe some stamina if your looking for the sket bonus. As far as leveling in WotLK, I wouldn’t be toooerned. The 63 spell hit will do you fine(unless theyhange the mhans) However, you kill things alot quker with 1200 spell damage then with 700. I wouldn’t say it was wasted. The wand is pretty good and the handshelm are ne if you gem them for PvE. Those should do ya well while you work on the other stuff. If you have a good amount of honor left over I would strongly suggest the s2 staff for a destro build. It’s teh awesomez. Can’t get on WoW right now, but I think I’ve only got 5-6k bg points. I also have a few marks for eh bg. not many for eh, other than wg, whh I think I’ve got about 30 of (was aiming to get the pants of the same set as the helmgloves). However, if I’m not really doing anything (waiting for instae runs or group pve quests) I may still do battlegrounds. I haven’t really looked, but I know youan buy gems with bg points. As for the marks I pile up… all the mounts, just to show off?an’t think of anything else to do with them.Use For Great Honor with those extra marks.Unfortunately, the armory is down so iannot view your profile – Youould be in dressed in full T6 gear whh would totally trash my followingomment With that said, don’t underestimate the value of the vindatorguardian cessories in the PVE aspt. Although intended as PVP items, their stats as well as gem slots make them veryomparable to some T5T6 raid and badge gear. Allan be bought with just honor and BG marks – The guardian set does require an arena rating to puhase (but not use). It’s ne to have gear that has both PVP and PVE potential Guardian’s Silk Set Guardian’s Dominae Set Guardian’s Subjugation Set Guardian’sonquest Set I agree that honor farmingan be painful – if you don’t mind being at a handap in arena mahes, youould puhase the blue dreadweave set from the outland ftion quartermasters. Blue Dreadweave Set They do not have nowhere near the armor or high-end stats of S2 but theyan be puhased with gold (whh is easy toome by these days) and they have the ever-important resiliee stat.
