my Shaman, the more I think that the D
The more I play and group with my Shaman, the more I think that the D needs to go. Right now I lose a ton of DPS by laying totems. Ran Halls of Stone last night, and in the five sonds or so it took me to lay totems and position myself, even the toughest mobs were usually half dead before I started swinging. Youan lay totems too far away, or your partyan move and you need to relay them. I really want to stop laying them altogether other than boss fights, but parties expt totems from Shaman, so whatan I do? Well, for starters Ian get a little more bitter. While I’m standing ten yards awayhuring out littlehunks of stone that glow prettyolors, that Death Knight is alreadyranking out DPS and Abomination’s Might just goes up automatally. Gotta make sure I have Mana Spring down for theasters, but that Ret Pallie’s Replenishment is really ne too and itame from his DPS. I’ve been in parties where I’ve had the highest overall DPS by 150-250 and still been sond or third in damage done by 5% or so just bause I lay totems. The buff totems are really in need of a overhaul

Here’s a suggestion, and fits nely with Blizz’slass spif mhans: hange the two talented totems, Wrath and Mana-Tide, from totems to spirit wolves, similar to Enhaement’s Feral Spirit. Petsan’t attk butan be killed, and follow you. Now eh tree has a spirit wolf and ElementalResto aren’t blked out a key totem element while a talented ability is in play. Hk, lets gorazy and make all totems spirit animals. Or make us glyph tohangeertain totems into spirit animals, whh would limit how manyritters we would have out. It would only really be an issue in 5 mans, now that totems efft the whole raid you will probably have both in a raid anyway (assuming 2 shamans). The thing to keep in mind is that you have spent 41 points to get ToW and 31 to get MT. No otherlass has to srife aore ability to make use of one of their key talents. Added to this, the main reason I think most elemental shamans would like to see ToW not be a fire totem is due to the new buff to the fire damage totems though I don’t dispute that we would also see people stking FT ToW. badluhuk wrote:Hk, lets gorazy and make all totems spirit animals. Taking the four (orloser to five sonds with human retion and server lag) sonds to lay totems is hardly even worth it in five-man instaes anymore outside of bosses, the mobs just die so fast and are so easy. I think this would solve the soloing problem of even wanting to drop totems, and also make the Shaman’sore mhan more mobile, whh is to say mobile at all. And it would play very nely into the whole 5 minute timers most of the totems have now, whhurrently have very little use outside of boss fights. Also, on the idea that we have an AOE earth totem, I too like the idea if only to not have to rely on the fire totems for some of my AOE damage. But again I think Bliz may see this as too OP (whh again may not bee thease) sie Shamans would now be able to drop a fire AOE, an Earth AOE and then startasting spells. Again, aondition Iould see for this is that if one of the Fire AOE totems are down, then you drop the Earth AOE totem, it destroys the Fire AOE totem. But really, in terms of the original making an earth AOE totem would still berap for Elementals sie it would also be alose range AOE. I think having aouple of new AOE spells that still kind of use the totem mhan would be ne. Something like this maybe: Fire Totemhking: “Regent” Requirement – The Shaman must have a fire totem tive for this spell to bomeastable. The Shaman pks up hisher fire totem and throws it at a lationalling forth a lava flow that damages enemies within a X range of where the totem landed for Y damage per sond. When the shaman throws hisher totem, the shaman is refunded the manaost of the totem and the fire totem is destroyed. Have a range of 30 yards, a 2-3 sase time, and maybe have aooldown timer.
